The Diamondbacks continue to struggle.
Arizona fell to the Brewers 1-0 Tuesday in Milwaukee. It has now lost six in a row and 12 of its last 13 games.
After three scoreless innings, the Brewers threatened to take control of the game in the bottom of the fourth. With two runners on, Domingo Santana smoked a fly ball that appeared to be heading over the center-field fence. Given the amount of innings he has already thrown this spring at Auburn, and with more coming as Auburn heads into the postseason, it’s likely Detroit would limit Mize’s usage this summer after signing as a precaution, and start him off fully next spring with their low-A affiliate.

Mark Trumbo also homered for Baltimore, his sixth of the season and third in four games.
Baltimore starter Kevin Gausman gave up two runs and four hits over six innings. The right-hander was lifted with the score tied, leaving him winless in his last seven starts.
Martinez put Harper in the leadoff spot for the first time since May for this reason: The thinking is if he’s hitting up top, he’ll start taking his walks again and it will get him going. It worked. Harper walked twice.
